Marine Electricals Shares Rise 5% After Securing ₹251 Crore Power Distribution Orders

Marine Electricals (India) saw its shares surge by as much as 5.11% to an intraday high of ₹434.90 on the National Stock Exchange on Monday, September 28. The rally followed the announcement that the integrated technical services and engineering company had secured power distribution supply orders totaling approximately ₹250.78 crore, excluding GST. The orders were awarded through a regulatory filing and include contracts with Digital Edge DC (India) Private Limited, Socomec India Private Limited, and STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited. The market reacted positively, lifting the stock to its highest level in weeks.

The regulatory filing detailed three distinct power distribution supply contracts. Digital Edge DC (India) Private Limited’s order is slated for delivery over a period of 10 to 12 months. Socomec India Private Limited’s contract will be fulfilled within four months, with Marine Electricals committing to deliver the supply over that timeframe. The third agreement, with STT Global Data Centres India Private Limited, also carries a 10 to 12 month delivery schedule. These timelines reflect the company’s capacity to manage multiple large‑scale projects concurrently.

On September 22, Marine Electricals disclosed a head‑of‑terms agreement with Maritime 3 Group to develop and manufacture India’s first indigenous Automatic Identification System (AIS) Base Station incorporating VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) technology. The agreement was announced in a regulatory filing and signals Marine Electricals’ expansion into advanced maritime electronics, complementing its existing portfolio of power distribution and data centre solutions.

On September 21, the firm inaugurated its sixth manufacturing facility in Goa, covering a combined floor space of approximately 1,60,000 square feet. The new plant will focus exclusively on producing Power Train Units (PTUs) for data centres and Shore Conversion Systems for ports, as per an exchange filing. Operations commenced on September 14, 2026, and the facility is projected to reach full manufacturing capacity of about 800 PTUs per year by March 2027. This expansion enhances Marine Electricals’ production capability and supports its growing order book in the data centre sector.
