Azad Engineering Shares Surge 10% to 52‑Week High After Launching Two GE Vernova Facilities

Azad Engineering’s shares surged 10.1 % to a 52‑week high of ₹2,998 on the National Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 29 September, following the company’s inauguration of two exclusive lean manufacturing facilities for GE Vernova’s Gas Power business. The precision‑engineering components maker celebrated the opening of the new plants at its Centre of Excellence & Innovation Centre in Tunikibollaram, Hyderabad, on 28 September. The move expands Azad Engineering’s footprint to three dedicated facilities for the global energy giant, bolstering its presence in the power‑generation sector.

Each of the two state‑of‑the‑art plants covers 7,600 sq. m and is dedicated to manufacturing highly engineered rotating and stationary airfoils as well as specialised machined parts. The facilities are designed to meet GE Vernova’s global demand in power generation and essential industries, ensuring a steady supply of critical components. By focusing on lean manufacturing, Azad Engineering aims to enhance production efficiency and reduce lead times, positioning itself as a key partner in the gas‑turbine supply chain.

Goldman Sachs analysts highlighted the inauguration as particularly relevant, noting that gas‑turbine expansion remains Azad Engineering’s key medium‑term growth driver. They added that the company is moving up the value chain from a component supplier toward a broader platform and integrated partner. The analysts also pointed out that Azad Engineering’s sizable order book provides multi‑year revenue visibility, while further product and customer qualifications could offer incremental optionality beyond the existing base.

In the April‑June quarter of FY27, Azad Engineering reported a 20.2 % year‑on‑year increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹35.7 crore compared with ₹29.7 crore in the same period of FY26. Revenue from operations rose 26 % YoY to ₹172.5 crore, up from ₹137 crore in Q1 FY26. These figures underscore the company’s robust financial performance amid expanding order pipelines and growing demand for its precision components.

At approximately 2:24 PM, the stock traded 6.97 % higher at ₹2,913 on the NSE, having touched a year’s low of ₹1,360 on 23 March 2026. Over the past week, the scrip has risen 5 %, and more than 2 % over the month, while on a year‑to‑date basis it has advanced over 79 %. As of 29 September 2026, Azad Engineering’s market capitalisation stood at ₹18,812.66 crore according to NSE data.
