Marico Shares Rise 4% as Company Anticipates Double‑Digit Revenue Growth in Q2 FY27

Marico’s shares surged up to 4% to an intraday high of ₹814 on Monday, October 5, after the company announced that it expects consolidated revenue to grow in double digits for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27). The FMCG firm highlighted a strong performance through the first half of the year and indicated that it is likely to surpass near‑term guidance across key financial parameters. The market reacted positively to the outlook, lifting the stock to its highest level of the week.

In a regulatory filing, Marico said its India business continued its strong momentum, delivering another robust quarter with underlying volume growth touching double digits. The company noted that domestic demand remained resilient during the quarter, even as the operating environment stayed volatile. Marico expressed optimism on consumption trends while closely monitoring evolving inflationary conditions, signalling confidence in the domestic market’s recovery.

Marico’s international business also posted a robust quarter, with constant currency growth in the teens led by strong performance in Vietnam, the Middle East and South Africa. Bangladesh witnessed a marginal sequential improvement, even as it continued to lap a high base amid persistently elevated inflation. The firm’s overseas operations contributed significantly to the overall growth, underscoring the importance of its global portfolio.

Among key inputs, Marico said the cost of crude‑linked derivatives elevated further, while copra prices remained range‑bound at roughly 35% below peak levels. The company expects strong acceleration in gross margin on a year‑on‑year basis, led by a favourable portfolio mix and a tailwind from copra prices. ASP investments increased significantly as Marico continued to invest behind brand building and growth initiatives, with operating profit projected to grow in the mid‑twenties.

In Q1 FY27, Marico recorded a 25% year‑on‑year rise in consolidated net profits attributable to owners, reaching ₹630 crore from ₹504 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Net profits jumped 61% sequentially to ₹391 crore from the fourth quarter of FY26. Revenue from core operations advanced 23% YoY to ₹3,957 crore from ₹3,221 crore, while EBITDA rose 25% YoY to ₹819 crore, with margins expanding to 20.69% from 20.33% a year earlier.

At 10:33 AM, Marico shares were trading at ₹787.7, up 0.81% on the National Stock Exchange. Over the past week, shares have fallen 3%, but have gained 4% in the last six months and jumped 11% year‑on‑year. The firm’s 52‑week high was ₹889.10 on July 30, 2026, and its 52‑week low was ₹691.30 on October 1, 2025. As of October 5, 2026, Marico’s market capitalisation stood at ₹1.02 lakh crore.
