Senco Gold Shares Surge 12% on 29% Revenue Growth in Q2 FY27

Senco Gold’s share price rallied 12% to an intraday high of ₹358.8 on Thursday, October 8, after the Kolkata‑headquartered jewellery firm announced a 29% year‑on‑year revenue growth for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27). The company highlighted that the growth was driven by a 19% increase from existing stores (SSSG growth). It also reported the highest ever topline of ₹5,000 crore in H1 and a landmark ₹10,000 crore sales on a trailing twelve‑month basis, underscoring robust top‑line performance.

During Q2 FY27, Senco Gold launched six new showrooms, bringing the total network to 215 and H1 additions to 14. The firm plans to open another 10–12 showrooms in H2, further strengthening its pan‑India presence. The company’s strong pipeline includes both COCO and franchisee stores, which are expected to enhance market coverage and support future revenue growth.

Consumer demand remained buoyant in the reporting quarter, buoyed by structural jewellery consumption, festive demand and a growing preference for lightweight jewellery. Senco Gold noted that its business continued to demonstrate resilience despite gold price volatility, with prices fluctuating between ₹1,40,000 and ₹1,50,000 per 10 grams, in line with Q1 existing prices. Gold prices were 28% higher year‑on‑year, while sequential change was insignificant.

The firm attributed Q2 FY27 revenue and SSSG growth to a favourable festive calendar that included Ratha Yatra, Rakhi, Janmashtami, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi and Independence Day, as well as mixed monsoon conditions. It also noted that shifting the impact of Pitri Paksha to Q3—only four days in Q2 versus 15 days last year—contributed to improved sales in the September quarter.

Looking ahead to Q3 FY27 and H2, Senco Gold expects strong seasonal demand driven by wedding demand, with an estimated 1.35 crore weddings in CY26, which it describes as mostly price‑inelastic. The company anticipates support from a favourable festive calendar that includes Dhanteras, Diwali, Durga Puja, Karwa Chauth, Chhath Puja and Christmas, and expects the monsoon season’s end, improving rural sentiment, and the upcoming wedding calendar to provide a supportive demand environment.

At 10:38 AM on October 8, Senco Gold shares were quoted at ₹344.3 on the National Stock Exchange, up 7.39%. From the beginning of the year, the stock has gained over 8%; over a month’s time it has slipped 5%, and it has climbed more than 3% in the past six months. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹5,643.11 crore as of October 7, 2026, with a one‑year high of ₹430 on July 27, 2026, and a 52‑week low of ₹276 on March 30, 2026.
