KEC International Shares Rise 5% After Securing ₹1,030 Crore in New Orders

KEC International’s latest order wins lifted its shares to a 5% intraday peak of ₹366.40 on Friday, October 9, after the company secured new contracts across several business lines. The cumulative value of these fresh orders amounts to ₹1,030 crore, boosting the year‑to‑date (YTD) order intake beyond ₹8,600 crore. The transmission and distribution, renewables and cables & conductors segments all contributed to the uptick, reflecting a broad-based demand for the EPC firm’s infrastructure solutions.

In the transmission and distribution (T&D) business, KEC won a 400 kV transmission line order in Bhutan, an additional 380 kV line contract in Saudi Arabia, and orders for towers, hardware and poles in the Americas. The contracts are part of a broader strategy to secure high‑voltage infrastructure projects that support regional grid upgrades and renewable integration, positioning KEC as a key player in emerging markets.

The renewables segment secured a 300+ MW wind project from a renowned private developer in Southern India, adding a marquee client to its portfolio. Meanwhile, the cables and conductors division has bagged various orders in India and overseas markets, further diversifying its revenue streams. These projects include the supply of high‑strength conductors for long‑haul transmission lines and the installation of advanced wind turbine towers, underscoring the firm’s technical expertise and its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, said the order wins across businesses have significantly strengthened the T&D book, noting the re‑entry into Bhutan and the addition of a marquee client in renewables. He added that the company’s renewables business continues to gain momentum in the wind EPC segment, securing a large order from a reputed private developer. Kejriwal highlighted KEC’s global footprint in over 110 countries, spanning power transmission, civil, transportation, renewables, oil & gas pipelines and cables & conductors.

At 11:04 PM on October 9, 2026, KEC International shares traded at ₹353.7, up 1.17% on the National Stock Exchange. Shares have fallen 10% over the past month, 39% in the last six months and over 52% since the beginning of the year. The firm’s market capitalisation exceeded ₹9,422.15 crore as of that date. KEC’s share price had previously touched a one‑year high of ₹893 on October 14, 2025, while its 52‑week low of ₹348 was recorded on October 8, 2026.
