Pace Digitek Wins ₹179.4 Crore BESS Order, Shares Rise 6%

Pace Digitek Limited received a letter of intent from BSES Rajdhani Power Limited on 8 October for a 57.5 MW/115 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System in Delhi. The order, valued at approximately ₹179.4 crore, was announced in a regulatory filing and triggered a 6% rise in the company’s shares, reaching an intraday high of ₹171.56 on the National Stock Exchange on 9 October. The stock subsequently traded in the green zone but pared early gains, closing at ₹164.88, 1.87% above the opening price.

The project will be developed under a 12‑year Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model, with a capital outlay of around ₹179.4 crore. Pace Digitek will execute the project within seven months of the letter of intent. Under the long‑term Battery Energy Storage Service Agreement, the company will receive a fixed capacity tariff of ₹47.05 lakh per MW per year, translating into annual contracted capacity revenue of ₹27.1 crore.

The award marks the company’s fifth major utility‑scale BOO/BOOT storage project, increasing its portfolio of long‑term contracted energy infrastructure assets to 3.32 GWh. With the BSES award, the total executable order book now exceeds ₹11,500 crore. The BSES project follows recent BESS wins, including a ₹488.6 crore order from NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited for supply of a standalone BESS with AMC and warranty services, secured in September 2026.

Chairman and Managing Director Venugopalrao Maddisetty said, "The BSES award is another important milestone in the development of our Energy business and marks our fifth utility‑scale BOO/BOOT storage project. It reinforces the capabilities we have built across BESS manufacturing, project execution and long‑term asset operations." He added that the company remains focused on disciplined execution, scaling manufacturing capabilities and selectively building a portfolio of contracted energy infrastructure assets.

Pace Digitek’s share performance has been volatile. At 11:31 AM on 9 October, the stock traded 1.87% higher at ₹164.88 per equity share. The scrip has lost more than 1% in the past week but gained 3% over the month. Year‑to‑date, it has fallen 12%.
