Redington Shares Rise Ahead of iPhone Duo Launch
Redington shares rose as much as 3.4% on Thursday, October 22, reaching an intraday high of ₹373.85 per unit on the National Stock Exchange, up from the previous session’s closing price of ₹361.55. The rally followed news that Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, will be available for general retail sale in India on Friday, October 23, 2026. The pre‑order for the device began on October 16 in more than 70 countries, including India, and the launch is expected to drive demand for Apple products in the country.
iPhone Duo is offered in star white and night sky colours and starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB model, with 512GB, 1TB and 2TB variants available. The foldable handset features a 7.6‑inch main display, the largest ever on an iPhone, and a 5.4‑inch outer screen that allows use when folded. Powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, it incorporates a custom vapor chamber for thermal management and a dual‑battery architecture to support the larger form factor.
Apple will sell the iPhone Duo through apple.com/in and at selected partner stores, including all Apple Store locations, from Friday, October 23, 2026 onwards. The company has imposed a purchase limit worldwide, including India; buyers attempting to add more than two units to their pre‑order will receive a warning prompting them to adjust the quantity before proceeding to checkout. This limit applies to all official channels and is intended to ensure fair access to the new foldable device.
On October 1, Redington announced a distribution partnership with OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure protection cybersecurity solutions. The alliance will cover the Gulf Cooperation Council, Levant, Türkiye, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States, combining OPSWAT’s CIP portfolio with Redington’s on‑the‑ground sales, technical, warehousing, logistics and financing capabilities. Together, the two firms aim to broaden access to specialised protection for segmented, air‑gapped and operational technology environments across government, defence, banking, telecoms, energy, utilities and other regulated sectors.
