Embassy Developments Shares Rise 10% After Board Approves ₹160 Crore NCD Fundraising

Embassy Developments shares rose as much as 10 % to reach an intraday high of ₹59.26 on Monday, September 21, after the board of directors approved a fundraising plan through non‑convertible debentures (NCDs). The decision followed a regulatory filing dated September 19, in which the board authorised the issuance of up to 16,000 NCDs, each with a face value of ₹1 lakh, on a private placement basis. The move prompted a sharp increase in the stock price during the session.

In the September 19 filing, Embassy Developments disclosed that the board had approved raising up to ₹160 crore through the issuance of up to 16,000 NCDs, each with a face value of ₹1 lakh, on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches. The debentures would be issued at a face value of ₹1 lakh each, allowing the company to secure capital without diluting equity. The approval was granted during a board meeting held on September 18, 2026, and the company intends to use the proceeds for its expansion plans.

Last week, Embassy Developments announced plans to develop two housing projects in Bengaluru, with an estimated revenue of ₹4,500 crore as part of its expansion strategy. Together, the two projects will feature 217 villas and 855 apartments, offering more than 2.6 million square feet of saleable residential space.
