Paras Defence Q2 FY27 Profit Climbs 47% to ₹30.30 Crore Amid Optics Surge

Paras Defence announced its July‑to‑September quarter results for FY27, with consolidated net profit (attributable to owners) rising 47 % to ₹30.30 crore, compared with ₹20.64 crore in the same quarter of FY26, according to NSE filings. Core operations revenue increased 43 % YoY to ₹151 crore, up from ₹106 crore. Optics and optronic systems revenue surged 94 % YoY to ₹74.65 crore, while defence engineering revenue grew 13.6 % to ₹76.47 crore.

Following the earnings disclosure, Paras Defence shares rose 3.6 % to an intraday high of ₹1,349.90 on Thursday, up from ₹1,302.60 at the previous equity market close, as reported by NSE data. By 2:46 pm IST on October 29, the stock was trading about 3 % higher at approximately ₹1,342, reflecting the market reaction to the reported results.

Raw material costs, including energy and metals, rose nearly 94 % during the period, a rise attributed to the supply chain crisis and elevated market prices. Despite this increase, Paras Defence was able to improve operating profit and margins YoY, as indicated in the company’s financial statements.

Core operations revenue rose 43 % YoY to ₹151 crore, up from ₹106 crore in the September quarter of FY26. Optics and optronic systems revenue increased 94 % YoY to ₹74.65 crore, while defence engineering revenue grew 13.6 % to ₹76.47 crore. These figures contributed to the overall earnings growth reported for the quarter.

The optics and optronic systems segment accounted for a significant portion of the company’s revenue growth, while the defence engineering segment showed moderate growth. Paras Defence’s Q2 performance demonstrates the company’s ability to generate higher earnings in key business verticals despite rising input costs, as reflected in the reported financial data.
